The City of New York’s Baruch College enlisted TASC to generate media around a distinguished alumnus’s 30 million dollar donation to the school. TASC negotiated an exclusive with The Wall Street Journal, which broke the story the evening before the announcement was made, and also ran a story in the paper the day of the announcement. When asked for comment on his decision to make such a generous donation, alumnus Austin Marxe replied, “My thought process was that if we can graduate more students who are really qualified for governmental agencies and charities, then over a period of time we can have a real impact on the world.” The Baruch School of Public and International affairs will be renamed the Austin W. Marxe School of Public and International Affairs. Read the full Baruch College article at WSJ.
