The Eagle Academy Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that provides funding and strategic direction for the Eagle Academy for Young Men schools—public, all-boys high schools located in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Newark, NJ. Graduation rates have nearly doubled at these schools from the average for young men of color.
The foundation’s goal was twofold: to inspire schools across the country to take up this successful educational model, and to generate media attention for President David C. Banks.
We generated 250+ media placements for Eagle over two years, both locally and nationally in print, TV and online outlets. President David C. Banks made multiple appearances on the FOX News program FOX and Friends, CNN and MSNBC. More than a dozen articles were written on the foundation in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, New York Post, New York Daily News and the Associated Press.
Eagle appeared on local affiliate TV stations in 20+ markets nationwide. In the New York metro area, the Academy was featured 30+ times on local outlets, including ABC 7 New York, FOX 5’s Good Day New York, FOX 5 News, My 9 News, CBS New York, and NBC New York. In generating 137,299,764 media impressions for both the foundation and the schools, TASC successfully placed David C. Banks in the forefront of the debate on all-boys education and helped him become a prominent thought leader in the field.
