Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Department of Orthopaedics
Mount Sinai School of Medicine is a world-renowned medical institution and teaching hospital, and its Department of Orthopaedics is a leader in patient care and non-invasive surgical techniques. The department has broadened the applications of minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery, shortening rehabilitation and return-to-work times. Well-known in the sports world, several of the department’s physicians also act as orthopaedic consultants to the New York Jets, the New York Islanders, the US Open Tennis Championships and the New York City Marathon.
We were retained to improve the department’s overall brand visibility, and strengthen the physicians’ practices by increasing the number of new patients. Our approach was to promote the doctors’ expertise in cutting-edge medical procedures within consumer orthopaedic stories, and to insert the doctors into popular sports stories thorough providing expert analysis and commentary.
Our media outreach has helped establish the Mt. Sinai orthopaedic surgeons as expert resources for medical (ABC News, New York Daily News, Shape magazine), consumer (Allure magazine, FOX News, Huffington Post) and sports stories (NBC, ESPN, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Associated Press, Bloomberg). Many of the doctors are now go-to contacts for medical and orthopaedic questions from writers at influential media outlets such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, ESPN, Sports Illustrated and USA Today.
